Happy Halloween! It’s officially Halloween season in Orlando, Florida, as the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicked off at Magic Kingdom just last night, on August 7. With it came the return of one of the event’s most beloved traditions: Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade. This is the 21st year for the spooky processional!
From dancing gravediggers with sparking shovels to a cavalcade of heroes AND villains, this parade combines spooky chills with playful Halloween fun that you’ll only find at Walt Disney World.
Parade Times, Location, Route
The 2026 Boo-To-You Parade steps off twice nightly during event nights, at 8:15 PM and 11:15 PM. The parade begins in Frontierland, winding past Liberty Square and the hub in front of Cinderella Castle, and finishes its route along Main Street, U.S.A. before concluding in Town Square next to the firehouse.
2026 Boo-To-You Parade Order
- The Headless Horseman traditionally gallops down the route before the parade officially begins.
- The Lead Title Float is a circular unit escorted by two Cast Members dressed in neon green capes.
- Disney Characters roam on foot just after the lead float. This group typically includes Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Snow White, Dopey, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Aladdin, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider.
- The Mickey & Friends float includes Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chip & Dale dressed in Halloween costumes, while Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow stand atop, dressed as the Sanderson Sisters.
- The Peter Pan unit includes Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, some of the Lost Boys, and pirates roaming and dancing on foot, with Tinker Bell atop a treasure chest float just behind them.
- More Pirates follow with skull flag dancers, before a large pirate ship glides past featuring Captain Barbossa and Captain Jack Sparrow.
- Leading the Haunted Mansion unit are the iconic gravedigger dancers, dragging their shovels and creating sparks on the ground. Just beyond them is the small graveyard float, including Madame Leota’s headstone. The Bride floats down the route, followed by waltzing couples. Finally, the three Hitchhiking Ghosts glow atop a graveyard gate-themed float.
- The Halloween Hoedown unit is lead by colorful scarecrow dancers, followed by Farmer Goofy on a silo float. Big Al, Wendell, Romeo McGrowl, and Shaker of The Country Bears followed, with Clara Cluck peeking out of a barn loft float.
- Appropriately, Ralph and Vanellope host the Candy segment. Ralph rides in on a Sugar Rush delivery truck, with candy racers dancing behind him. Vanellope drives a candy machine filled with treats.
- Disney Villains close out the parade, with Ursula gliding down the route with Flotsam and Jetsam close behind, Horace and Jasper driving Cruella de Vil in a white car, the Queen of Hearts surrounded by her spear-wielding Card Guards. A platform float of a skeleton band and Anastasia and Druzella (sadly replacing Pain and Panic from previous years, the “ugly” stepsisters previously were on foot) with a horde of villains trailing behind on foot, including Oogie Boogie, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, Bowler Hat Guy, Foulfellow, and Gideon. The last unit is a large gothic fortress-like float including Chernabog, featuring Mother Gothel, Maleficent, and the Evil Queen on the backside with her Magic Mirror.
Viewing Tips
Depending on your party priorities, and your proximity to the parade route, there isn’t necessarily a bad spot along the entire route, from Frontierland to Town Square. However, while the parade begins in Frontierland, that section of the park tends to be dark, which makes it harder to see the details (and even trickier for photos). For the best viewing, we recommend:
- The Castle hub – floats look spectacular against the illuminated backdrop of Cinderella Castle.
- Main Street, U.S.A. – the lighting here highlights costumes and characters beautifully, and the surrounding lights makes it extra festive.
- Town Square by the Train Station – offers great views of the characters with less crowd congestion.
Overall Impression
Boo-To-You is a solid parade, always delivering exactly what you could hope for: high energy, packed with Disney characters and lots of spooky fun. It’s always great to see The Haunted Mansion represented across several floats and various performers in impressive costumes and makeup. The only new parade addition for this year was Big Al and Romeo McGrowl in their new Country Bear Musical Jamboree looks as part of the Halloween Hoedown unit.
My few nitpicks for this year are: Again, I wish Mickey & friends had a better-themed float. I feel like there’s too many characters crammed onto that generic piece (dressed with fall garland, sure) for them all to glide past so quick. We don’t get much time to take in Mickey Mouse, or Minnie and the gals dressed like the Sanderson’s. And then Dale dressed as Dracula?! I need more time to see them all!
Interesting that while we gained Mother Gothel last year, and a few Country Bears this year, but we quietly lost Pain and Panic — unless this was a temporary or b-mode change as seen last night. Also questioning where the heck Vanellope’s film-accurate candy car is?! They could use it for the Christmastime parade, too!
All of that said, this is still Walt Disney World’s best parade, in my humble opinion. Seeing classic characters roaming around the route, getting up close and interacting with guests of all ages is something I’ve been missing in Starlight parade, so it was nice to get back into that old Disney parade feeling! All in all, Boo-To-You proved once again why this parade is the crown jewel of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It’s whimsical, spooky, and unforgettable. Seriously, the theme song will be stuck in your head all season long! It’s still one of our absolute favorite MNSSHP offerings, don’t miss it!
