With Christmas just around the corner I recently stopped by Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to check out their festive decor. This resort is known for celebrating four of the most colorful animated films through their resort grounds, pool areas, family suites and standard rooms: The Lion King, Cars, The Little Mermaid, and Finding Nemo.
As for their holiday decor; white garland, wreaths, and a tree are filled with warm white lights, studded with monochromatic ornaments and animated sketches from the resort’s featured films. It’s all so cute and colorful – let’s take a closer look!
Stepping into Animation Hall, the resort’s main lobby area features a tall white Christmas tree underneath the chandelier of art sketches featuring The Lion King, Cars, The Little Mermaid, and Finding Nemo.
The sketches continue down into the tree, and are framed by oversized film strip ribbon. A paint palette and paint brush is situated towards the top of the tree.
Giant oil paint tubes are spilling glittery ribbon around the tree, while shiny square and round ornaments cascade around the tree in a colorful rainbow gradient, starting with purples and pinks at the top and deep blues towards the bottom.
The hanging garland and wreath leading out to the Big Blue Pool features a paint brush with spiraling black lines and sketches, surrounded by more square ornaments in a gradient rainbow pattern and another paint palette at the center of the wreath.
And finally, the white wreaths behind the front desk pods feature more sketches and monochrome ornaments, appropriately matching the colored wall they’re hanging from.
Happy holidays from everyone’s favorite Christmas mascot, Guido:
Pit stop!
That’s all for today, let’s do this again sometime! Have you stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort?
