Disney’s BoardWalk Inn‘s gingerbread display can now be seen (and smelled) inside the resort’s lobby. It’s theme? The nearby Boardwalk Deli. (This just tickles me… Of all the things to represent the BoardWalk; maybe a ferris wheel or a roller coaster, I’d never expect a DELI. But, it’s actually cute!)
There’s also a nearby treats table and gingerbread-themed merchandise found inside.
While it’s on the smaller side of Disney Deluxe Resort gingerbread displays, it’s still a pretty impressive piece of confection with fun little details to take in. Let’s take a closer look!
24 bakery Cast Members spent 280 hours creating and decorating this year’s gingerbread display, which is made up of:
- 68 gallons of orange blossom honey
- 54 pounds of flour
- 6 pounds of powdered sugar
- 18 pounds of fondant
- 5 pounds of egg whites
- 3 pounds of gingerbread spice
- 2.5 pounds of eggs
On the lobby-facing side is a Happy Holidays greeting below a Mickey-shaped wreath featuring colorful ornaments with the names of Cast Members who baked and assembled this year’s display.
The gingerbread shingled rooftops are trimmed with frosted icicles and Christmas lights, with a working clock at the top. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, and Figaro appear in the windows of the miniature shop.
The left side of the building houses a little bakery, lined with tiny treats and ingredients. Minnie Mouse seems to be putting some finishing touches on a Cinderella Castle-shaped “cake”, while Mickey Mouse spins in the prep area.
The gingerbread sidewalk is lined with trees, decorated with miniature pastries, candies, and baking tools. Each tree is topped with either a Mickey-shaped peppermint, a gumdrop snowflake, or Mickey Santa Hat. Naturally, trash cans complete with logos from Disney’s Boardwalk sit nearby.
Goofy’s silhouette is behind a window with “Hue G. Krazont, Proprietor” printed on it. Get it?
The opposite end of the Deli features another Mickey wreath; this one’s decorated with Mickey-shaped cookies, rainbow cookies, and popcorn you can also find at the nearby treats table. The miniature Disney Parks designed paper cups (for hot cocoa, of course) are a cute touch, too!

The resort-exclusive pin ($22.99) and ornament ($24.99) are available at the treats table, which opens at 2 PM daily. The Gingerbread Collection mug and pin is also available here — originally found at Disney’s Contemporary Resort gingerbread display!
