REVIEW: Disney’s Beach Club Resort’s Easter Bunny Strawberry Cheesecake

One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is the Disney pastry chefs’ knack for creating fun and enjoyable snacks with each new season of the year. For someone who enjoys sweets, each season brings a new lineup of fun and colorful snacks to be relished.

My first stop of the 2021 Easter snack season was by Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The Yacht and Beach Club’s pastry team has come up with a plethora of snacks this Spring; who am I to say no to purchasing and trying just a few?

Today, let’s review what could be the cutest snack of them all: the Easter Bunny Strawberry Cheesecake ($5.49). If you’re stopping by this season to give a snack or two a try, you’ll find the majority of them in the refrigerated case just inside the door of the Beach Club Marketplace.

Disney’s description states that the treat is made of velvet white chocolate-covered strawberry cheesecake, which rests on a lemon crust and is topped with ruby red glitter glaze. The Easter bunny treat is beautifully crafted, with great care being given to the bunny’s fondant nose, ears, and feet.

Unfortunately, when I tried the cheesecake, it had no overwhelmingly discernible taste. There was a slight hint of cheesecake, but no taste of strawberry. And strawberry is a flavor that I love, so I had high hopes. The velvet white chocolate coating was tasteless and a bit thick and added nothing to the snack.

The lemon crust had a slight hint of citrus, for which I was thankful, but it really wasn’t very thick at all, and thus didn’t impact the treat favorably.

Believe me: I wanted to love this. I mean look at it; what’s not to love? It’s the most adorable thing. Great care has been invested in making this look amazing, but that’s, unfortunately, where it ends.

If you’re picking out an Easter snack at the Beach Club, I recommend skipping the bunny. Take a picture or two, savor its cuteness, and choose another treat.

Fear not: there are other snacks that we’ll cover in the days ahead that the Yacht and Beach Club’s pastry team hit out of the park. Sadly, the uber-cute Easter Bunny Strawberry Cheesecake isn’t one of them.

If you’ve tried some of Disney’s Easter treats this season, please let me know what you’ve enjoyed in the comments section below!

Deni loves all things Disney, and, in 2013, moved to the Magic from Maryland. Walt Disney World is her happy place, and she loves getting to share it with others.
