If you ask the executive producers of ‘The Muppets Mayhem‘, the answer is absolutely. After the new series was announced in early 2022 as a new addition to the Disney+ lineup, co-creators Adam F. Goldberg and Jeff Yorkes made an appearance at this year’s New York Comic Con. Shortly after taking the main stage, the pair let it slip in the press room that should everything go to plan; the Disney streaming service isn’t the only place Muppets fans will be seeing their favorite characters, with hopes they will also be heading to the Disney theme parks.
Though guests can see Kermit and the gang in Disney’s Hollywood Studios attraction, Muppet*Vision 3D, their appearance in the parks and otherwise become almost nonexistent despite a solid and dedicated fan base. Should Disney theme parks incorporate more of our friendly Jim Henson characters? If you listen to Goldberg and Yorkes, the answer might become clear depending on the success of the 2023 premiere of ‘The Muppets Mayhem.’
What do you think? Will you be tuning in when the new series launches next year?
