It’s that time of the year when families start to decide when they want to take their yearly trip to Walt Disney World. One of the questions that comes up is, should I book it myself or let a Disney Certified Travel Agent make all the reservations?
Now, with the Internet, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, people are familiar with different ways to gain information for their trip to Walt Disney World. But does it make sense to do the planning yourself when a certified Disney Travel Specialist can do it for you?
The first thing to do if you are considering letting someone else book the reservations for your trip is to ask if they are a Certified Disney Travel Specialist. In full disclosure, I am a Certified Disney Travel Specialist. I am required to take courses on the products that I sell yearly. I am also expected to visit Walt Disney World often.
Access to Current Information
This matters because we have the most up-to-date information on WDW to advise our clients. Friends and Facebook are good places to ask for opinions, but a certified Disney Travel Specialist will have the best insider information. We can provide price comparisons if you are trying to decide on different resorts, theme park tickets, etc. We can also make dining reservations for you.
Time Savers
When WDW releases discounts, party nights, and tickets, we are up bright and early to secure these discounts or reservations for our clients. Sometimes, due to high demand, we may wait on hold for hours to apply the discount to your existing reservation. That is time you don’t have to spend on the phone.
Money Savers
Your Travel Specialist will work hard to save you money on your vacation. It could be a limited-time promotion or discount, suggesting a dining plan, what type of theme park tickets you should purchase, a different view at a resort, etc. The agency I am affiliated with – Dreams Unlimited Travel – will keep checking for discounts after you book to see if we can save you any money on your reservation.
Problem Solvers
We are there if any issues should arise due to illness, change of jobs, etc. If something should happen while you are on your trip, your Travel Specialist will help to get it resolved, and you don’t need to spend your valuable vacation time on the phone or chasing down management at the resort.
Your Travel Specialist is there to help with any questions you might have. They are happy to help you with all your questions and concerns. And remember, they can offer as much or as little assistance as you’d prefer. I want you to have the best trip to Walt Disney World and make some magical memories you will remember for years and years. Till next time, see you in the parks!
