As the minutes between January 14th rolled over to January 15th, the Walt Disney World Resort counted down the seconds until the Space Mountain 50th Anniversary celebration. In Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World Ambassadors Shannon Conrad-Smith and Serena Arvizu joined some of our favorite Disney pals to welcome the milestone anniversary. Space Mountain has officially been delighting guests for 50 years after its opening on January 15th, 1975. Walt Disney’s innovative indoor rollercoaster has since become a landmark attraction in Tomorrowland, with many able to recall their first time enjoying the out-of-this-world dark ride.
