Walt Disney World announced the return of Disney After Hours along with the attractions that would be open during the three-hour events in the theme parks. Interestingly, Muppet*Vision 3D is (once again) not listed as being open during the new 2025 dates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
That combined with the fact that Muppet*Vision 3D is not open during Extended Evening Hours is a bit worrisome. Obviously, these things can change at any given moment, but with all the conjecture on where the new Monsters, Inc. area will actually be built, we are beginning to wonder if not including Muppet*Vision is one step closer to the permanent removal of the beloved show. Could Disney really be removing Muppets? As Chloé said, please don’t do it.
It’s so perplexing as the Muppets have become more and more popular over the last 5-10 years. I could see them possibly updating the show, but removing it altogether just seems like a bad idea. The theater holds a ton of people, and it’s a perfect replica of the Muppet Theater from the classic television series, The Muppet Show – how could it be destroyed?
Do you wonder, like I do, if Disney purposely did not disclose where they were going to put Monsters just to see what fans would have to say about it? I don’t know, but I think it’d be a real tragedy if this was removed permanently.
