Woody and Jessie are very popular characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Toy Story films greatly impacted many Disney fans throughout the years. I grew up with these movies and felt attached to the characters, especially Woody, Buzz, and the green aliens. Over in Toy Story Land, guests can meet a few of their favorite Toy Story characters, and today, we are going to meet Woody and Jessie.
Meet and Greet Location
These fan-favorite characters meet near the entrance of Toy Story Mania!. It’s not the perfect meet-and-greet location because it is in the direct sunlight in the afternoon. The background of the spot isn’t the best either, but it’s not the worst spot on property.
Meet and Greet Experience
The characters come out at 10 a.m., so I got in line at 9:55 a.m. The line was already long. It reached all the way to the Pixar ball. At that moment, I learned that for Woody and Jessie, guests will need to get in line at least 15 minutes before the set time. It took 35 minutes to get to the characters, which isn’t horrible because it could’ve been longer. Thankfully, they have a few umbrellas in the line, but they don’t really do much. I wish they had more umbrellas or fans.
I do love that they have a PhotoPass photographer here to capture the moments between the guests and characters. It’s also important to note that these characters sign autograph books, so be sure to have those ready.
Overall, this is an excellent offering since so many Disney fans love Woody and Jessie. My only hope is that they will create an indoor meeting space for them one day. Not only would it bring them a better backdrop, but it would also ensure that there are no trash cans in your photos and eliminate having other guests in your photo.
