I’ve been thinking lately about the construction that has begun on what will become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and admittedly, I’m getting a little bit excited. Though I wasn’t happy to see Splash Mountain go, the new attraction is based on one of my favorite animated films from Disney and is sure to be impressive. One of the reasons why I am so drawn to this movie is the incredible music that it introduced us to, and even though the storyline for the new ride is set to continue on from the opening of Tiana’s Place, I am hoping some of those catchy tunes are included in the attraction somewhere along the line.
Narrowing down the selection is rather complicated, and it sparked a thought, a challenge, if you will, of picking just one song from the New Orleans-inspired film to include in the ride – Armchair Imagineering style, of course. One might be quick to say the classic tune, Down in New Orleans, which would be a fun addition, though my heart is telling me to go in a different direction. When I am floating through this attraction sometime in 2024, the song I want to hear will be a spirited rendition of Gonna Take You There. If you can’t remember it, refresh your memory below:
If you could add any song from the Princess and the Frog movie to the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, what would it be?
