Where to Watch the Super Bowl On and Off Walt Disney World Property

If you are going to be at Walt Disney World on Super Bowl Sunday, you don’t have to miss the game. In fact, there are plenty of great places to enjoy the game both on and off Disney property. These locations are in no particular order, but I tried to create a list that had something for everybody.

Singing Spirits Pool Bar 800

6) Pool Bar

Watching the Super Bowl from the pool bar is probably the most laid-back way to watch the game. With only a few seats in front of the pool bar, you might have a hard time finding a seat, though. The small camaraderie of hotel guests watching the game in front of the pool bar can create a fun atmosphere. Additionally, if you have children that aren’t interested in the game, one parent can watch the children swim while the other parent enjoys the game. Unfortunately, not all of the pool bars have televisions and the ones that do typically only have one small screen.

5) Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings is a sports bar franchise. You might have one in your hometown, but if you’ve never been, this location has a large number of TVs, and is a great place to get well…buffalo wings. For Super Bowl Sunday, they recommend guests get there 3 to 4 hours before the game in order to get a seat. Even if you are picking up your food to-go, there is still up to a 2-hour wait. This is all according to the waitress that I talked to over the phone. So, if you are willing to pack your patience and are willing to make it an all-day event, then Buffalo Wild Wings might be the perfect place for you! There is no special event being held for the game, but this place will still be packed, so get there early if you want to get in.

4) Miller’s Ale House – Orlando Lake Buena Vista

Like Buffalo Wild Wings, Miller’s Ale House is a sports bar franchise. There seems to be a million and one TVs in every Ale House I’ve ever been to, so this is a place where you’ll have a great view of the game no matter where you are seated. There is no cover for the game, but again, a lot like Buffalo Wild Wings, this place will fill up fast. The waiter I talked to didn’t want to give me specific times to show up for the game, but, considering this is the closest Ale House to Walt Disney World property, you’ll probably want to show up as early as possible. The waiter did say in previous years that there were drink specials during the game.

3) Your Hotel Room

If you are looking for a quieter experience than say, the Buffalo Wing Wings, then I suggest watching the game in your resort hotel room. For families with young children that want to watch the game together, watching the game in the privacy of your own room can be the best way to avoid the slightly intoxicated crowds watching the game at other locations throughout Walt Disney World. While it might sound a little introverted to watch the Super Bowl with your family in your hotel room, it can be made into a fun event. Ordering some pizza or room service food, depending on your hotel’s amenities, can really make it into a fun evening with the family.

2) ESPN Club

Located on Disney’s BoardWalk is the ESPN Club, which is an American, pub-style restaurant and bar. With almost 100 TV monitors, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The restaurant is buzzing during big sporting events like the Super Bowl and that can create a fun energy. Unfortunately, the excitement can also create heavy crowds. If you are not a fan of big crowds, then you might want to look for other options when planning where you are going to watch the Super Bowl. This place is going to be packed; in fact, when I called the restaurant, the waitress stated that at the current time, the event was sold out. So, in order to get a reservation here, you’ll have to hope someone else cancels. There is a cover charge of $100 dollars (subject to change) per person for the event, but that includes all food and drinks from the menu.

1) Sea Dog Brewing Company Orlando

This is another off-site location, but it isn’t too far from Disney property. Sea Dogs is a brewery/restaurant location that has a number of TVs like a standard sports bar. They are holding an event that hasn’t sold out yet, but if you’re interested, you might want to get a reservation as soon as possible, because their event is a great deal! For $45 per person, you have all-you-can-eat pulled pork, a number of sides and salads, and unlimited drinks. This quickly becomes a great deal after 3 or 4 drinks, and because the Super Bowl is a couple hours long, I think it is well worth the price. Like I said, reservations are filling up fast, and last year they sold out, so if this is something you’re interested in, call them immediately. The party starts at 5 p.m.

These are all great locations. I hope this list helps you plan out your Super Bowl Sunday if you’re in town for the game! Is there someplace I missed? I’d love to hear where else people enjoy watching the game on, or off Disney property!
