Like the above said, there is some noise during the overnight hours. Typically we heard some noise from above at 2-3am but it didnt last long. Also the stabilizer is a few decks below and can be noisy some times but I didnt see it as a major issue. This room is near the aft elevators, which made it easy to access dining, buena vista theatre and deck 9. Porthole is also one of the larger ones compared to the rest of the oceanview rooms.

DO NOT BOOK THIS ROOM - The Galley or Laundry is right above you. The banging and rolling of carts begins @ 4:30am and continues for hours. I called guest services and they even heard it through the telephone! I will say DCL came through and moved us after 3 nights (didn't report it until the 2nd day) - we went from a noisy ocean view room -to cabin 5648 aft, balcony - so the upgrade made up for it, and they sent champagne and snacks to our room. I told them this room should be taken out of availability.

The room was quite noisy early in the morning. It was worse on Pirate's Night, I assume because the midnight buffet causes more cleaning late at night. Also, the table was a bit dinged up. Finally, I like my room pretty cold, but you just aren't able to get the room that cool. That being said, it still was a great cruise overall because of the work Disney puts into it.

Very noisy! Had to get replacement room just to sleep in on last night because banging was so loud and caused vibrations throughout room. Finally after a couple hours we got offered a new room.

Very convenient to restaurants and debarking at ports. Very quiet, with the exception of some minor banging while pulling into ports. Love the big porthole! For some reason this room does not have the steamer trunk, but we had more than enough storage.

We liked the room despite the other reviews listed here. We never had an issue with noise and slept great. Deck 2 is quiet and we loved the large porthole. It does not have a steamer trunk - but felt we had plenty of room for 3 of us. It is a few floors down from all the action - but we did not mind. We booked the same room again for next year!

There is a place for a steamer trunk in this room, but no trunk. One thing light sleepers might need to be aware of: Each morning around 4-4:30, you can hear people opening and closing shelves in the restaurant galley above your head for about 30 minutes or so, and then it dies away. No noises can be heard from the hallway during the day, though.
