The parks genuinely come to life at night. Disney at night is my personal favorite time to visit. While each park has its own unique flair, Hollywood Studios has some of the brightest lights! You are missing out if you have never experienced Disney’s Hollywood Studios at night! Hollywood Studios has some incredible places for nighttime photos. Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land are full of vibrant lights, but Hollywood Boulevard is also not to be missed!
Here are my top places at Hollywood Studios for nighttime photos!
1. Galaxy’s Edge
Something about Smuggler’s Run and the Millennium Falcon at night is just stunning. All of Galaxy’s Edge has a vivid blue tone, and it looks unbelievable on the screen–but it’s really this blue! It makes the line for Smuggler’s Run a little more bearable, and it makes for great family pictures!
Restaurants like Ronto Roasters in Galaxy’s Edge also have unique lighting. The spacecraft at the top of the building is lit in orange and red hues, and the back of the ship will light up when it’s getting ready to “take off.”
2. Toy Story Land
Toy Story Land is definitely not just for the little kids! Even on adult-only trips, I have a blast in this part of the park. The permanent Christmas lights add to the fun and festivity, and Alien Swirling Saucers is on an entirely different level at night!
The short, dizzying ride feels like a disco party at night (in the best way!). The lights flash as you spin, but not in a way to make you sick–they are warm and fun lights that make the aliens on your cart glow green.
And, of course, who could ignore the massive Christmas lights that decorate Slinky Dog Dash all year long? These lights make Toy Story Land festive at all times, even in the summer, but you don’t notice them until they’re glowing at night!
3. Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard
Both Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard are not to be missed at night. The lights are spectacular! At Christmastime, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has amazing lights that change the display of the ride building. All the lights on the shops make you feel like you are in Hollywood, but I think my favorite place for a picture is in front of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Just look at the lights!
Pro Tip: If you hop in line for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway right before the park closes, you’ll have a chance to take some awesome pictures after you ride (the parks are empty after closing!).
