My Wild Day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park!

Recently, I took a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and had a “wild” time, even though a hurricane was slowly approaching Florida. The weather was unpredictable, but the clouds that rolled in were great because the sun was beaming when I arrived. It was a fun day, and I just wanted to share some of the photos I took throughout the day. I hope you enjoy this photo blog!

Trails!

My first stop was this “secret” bridge in the Oasis area at the front of the park. I love this area. It’s tucked away, and the nearby waterfall makes it a peaceful spot. I highly suggest checking out this hidden gem at Animal Kingdom.

Attractions I Rode

I was able to ride three attractions while I was in the park, and they were all walk-ons! They each had a posted wait time of 10 minutes, and I was able to get on them in under 8 minutes.

On the safari, we could see a female lion lying between the rocks on her back. That was definitely the highlight of my day.

Interesting Things I Saw

I hadn’t been to Animal Kingdom in a while, so seeing scaffolding up in Asia surprised me. Usually, in this area, Gibbons are running around, drawing in guests. They must be refurbishing the site, and I can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s done.

Characters I Saw

While walking around, I saw one of the Flotillas pass by, which made my day. I loved seeing Pluto and Goofy waving at guests and interacting with everyone watching.

I had such a wonderful time enjoying Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park during the calm before the storm. The crowds were light, and the wait times weren’t outrageous, which made it a great park day.

Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
