Yet another arrest has been made at Walt Disney World for someone trying to enter a theme park with a hidden gun.
On Wednesday, October 26, Baleigh Turner was entering Disney’s Animal Kingdom, when security officers found a gun in her backpack at the bag check.
Turner, 23, of Mobile, Alabama, said she had a permit to carry the weapon, but her local sheriff’s office said it expired in January. She was charged with carrying a concealed firearm and is being held on $2,000 bail.
Earlier this week, a man attempted to enter Epcot with a loaded gun. Security officers selected him for a random metal detector screening; at this point, he then told the officer that he was carrying a gun. He was charged with suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm and has been banned from Walt Disney World property.
