New Abominable Snowman Sipper Available at Disneyland Resort

If you’ve ever been to a Disney park, you’ve likely seen someone clutching a themed sipper cup – maybe a glowing Lightcycle from TRON, a Millennium Falcon, or a Mickey balloon. These souvenir sippers are everywhere, and while they technically hold beverages, many guests treat them more like collectibles than practical drinkware.

The newest sipper, introduced by the Disney Eats Instagram, is an Abominable Snowman, and is available now at various locations throughout Disneyland Park in celebration of the 70th Anniversary.

You can get a refreshing drink in these sippers while you’re at the park (usually a slushy or soda), but let’s be honest, nobody’s buying that sipper for hydration purposes. More often than not, it’s the design that seals the deal. These sippers tap into nostalgia (looking at you, Orange Bird!), fandom, and Disney’s legendary eye for detail, making them irresistible to both casual guests and hardcore collectors alike.

But what happens after you leave the park?

For many, these sippers head straight to a display shelf, kitchen cabinet, or even a dedicated Disney room at home. They’re reminders of magical trips, limited-time events, and fun memories – more decor than dishware. Some fans display them seasonally (think Oogie Boogie for Halloween or Olaf during the holidays), while others keep them in rotation for movie nights or theme park-themed parties at home.

Of course, there are practical folks who do continue using them for drinks at home, but the real magic lies in their role as souvenirs. They’re adorable, functional (if you want them to be), and most importantly, fun.

So do people actually use Disney sippers to hold drinks? Sometimes. But more often, they’re cherished as little pieces of Disney joy – colorful, quirky reminders that the magic doesn’t have to stay in the parks.

Do you buy these sippers or are they a pass for you?
