For 35 years, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons has been turning park proposals and castle ceremonies into full-scale fairy tales. Since launching in 1991, the program has hosted hundreds of thousands of weddings and honeymoons for couples from around the world – and for its 35th anniversary, Disney is marking the milestone with a month of new reveals.

Just last week, a new album released, filled with Disney love songs made for your big wedding moments.
And now, we have a big headline moment: a wedding dress that actually lights up.
The 35th Anniversary Specialty Gown
Created in collaboration with Allure Bridals, the 35th anniversary specialty gown is designed exclusively for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings brides – and it’s unlike anything before.
Woven into the dress are more than 500 tiny lights, seamlessly integrated into the fabric. Brides can choose from 35 different lighting settings, a nod to each year of the program’s history.

Features include:
- Customizable color-changing lights and patterns
- Audio-activated technology
- Built-in beat detection that syncs the glow to music
That means the dress can shimmer softly for the ceremony, then pulse in rhythm during the first dance at the reception!
Disney describes it as “35 dresses in one,” thanks to the variety of lighting effects available throughout the celebration. From a subtle romantic glow while walking down the aisle to bold, radiant hues for the after-party, the look can evolve throughout the day without a wardrobe change.
A Tale as Old as Time
Also debuting for 2026 is a gown inspired by Belle, created in honor of the 35th anniversary of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
The design leans into soft gold tones, flowing draping, and delicate embellishments that echo Belle’s iconic ballroom look. While it doesn’t light up like the anniversary specialty gown, it brings classic Disney romance front and center for brides looking for that storybook aesthetic.

The Full 2026 Collection
Both gowns join the 2026 Disney Fairy Tale Weddings dress collection, which will be available in sizes 0–30 through authorized retailers. You can view the entire 2026 collection here.

The light-up gown feels like the most “Disney” thing imaginable: theatrical, a little over-the-top, and designed for big moments. Honestly, if there’s ever a day to sparkle like a nighttime spectacular, it’s your wedding day! Would YOU wear it?
