The first official trailer for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special has just arrived, giving fans a nostalgic glimpse at the upcoming celebration headed to Disney+ and Hulu later this month.
The special premieres March 24, exactly 20 years after the beloved Hannah Montana first debuted on Disney Channel and introduced audiences to Miley Stewart’s double life as a pop star.
In the new trailer, Miley Cyrus returns to revisit the series that helped define an entire generation of Disney Channel viewers. The special centers around an in-depth conversation with Cyrus hosted by Alex Cooper, filmed on recreated sets inspired by the original Stewart family living room and the iconic Hannah Montana closet.
Along the way, Cyrus reflects on the music, fashion, and unforgettable moments that made the show a pop culture phenomenon. Fans will also get a behind-the-scenes look at pieces from Cyrus’ personal Hannah Montana archives, along with appearances from familiar faces, surprise guests, and a new musical performance.
The anniversary special aims to celebrate the global fandom that surrounded the show during its run and the lasting impact it continues to have today.
And the numbers back that up. Disney says the Hannah Montana catalog – including the original series, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and the Best of Both Worlds concert film – has already been streamed more than half a billion hours worldwide on Disney+.
Leading up to the special’s debut, fans can enjoy the entire series through the Hannah Montana collection on Disney+. This collection currently includes all four seasons of the show, as well as the films and concert special from the franchise.
With the trailer now out and the anniversary just around the corner, longtime fans will soon get the chance to step back into the world of Miley Stewart – and relive the best of both worlds once again.
