Disney has shared new details on what could easily become the heart of its upcoming Storyliving by Disney community, Asteria, in North Carolina. And if you have even a soft spot for Peter Pan (like me!!!), this one hits differently.
The Second Star Club is the hub of the community and is inspired by the “second star to the right” from Disney’s 1953 animated classic, Peter Pan. This is not just your run-of-the-mill clubhouse. It’s designed as a place where daily life can feel a little more… magical.
Aster Green is a wide-open lawn where people can enjoy everything from outdoor movie nights to a casual, “run into your neighbors and stay for an hour” moment.

Inside, the spaces are practical but creative. Disney says The Studios will offer hands-on experiences with tools like laser engravers and fabric printers, giving residents a place to learn, make things themselves, and connect with neighbors. Next door, the Wellness Center covers the basics and then some. Fitness equipment, lap pools, outdoor yoga, and even a spot to grab a smoothie after.

Marquet Hall looks like it’s aiming to be the social anchor of the neighborhood with food, games, and indoor and outdoor seating.
But the standout, for me anyway, is Lost Key Cottage.

This is where the Disney storytelling is next-level. The cottage is a five-bedroom home inspired by Never Land – and it will be available for people to rent for overnight stays, celebrations, and those big family get-togethers. Each room in the house boasts a bit of Peter Pan energy. Curious. Playful. Whimsical. A little nostalgic. It looks like it’ll be the kind of place that’ll make you wish you could press pause on real life for a few days and just exist there.
Disney isn’t just building new homes here. They’re building a lifestyle that mixes subtle storytelling with a steady calendar of events for its residents.
It’s early, and these are still artist concepts. But if Disney delivers anything even close to what we’re seeing here, Asteria might end up being one of the most interesting projects they’ve ever taken on outside the theme parks.
And for anyone (again, like me!!!) who grew up believing in that second star to the right… Yeah, this one’s hard not to start dreaming about.
