The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has released its most recent quarterly report describing incidents that have been reported at the state’s major theme parks during the second quarter of 2026 (April through June).
The report includes qualifying incidents at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, while SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and LEGOLAND Florida reported no incidents during the quarter.
In Florida, large theme parks that don’t have regular state ride inspections must report certain incidents involving guests. They need to report injuries, illnesses, and deaths that lead to a hospital stay of at least 24 hours. Many of these medical emergencies involve guests who already have health conditions and are not necessarily caused by the rides themselves.
During the second quarter of 2026, Walt Disney World reported five qualifying incidents, while Universal Orlando Resort reported four.

No Reported Incidents
The following Central Florida theme parks reported no qualifying incidents during the second quarter of 2026:
- SeaWorld Orlando
- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
- LEGOLAND Florida
The quarterly reports are intended to document incidents that meet Florida’s reporting requirements and do not, on their own, indicate whether an attraction was at fault. In many cases, the reports note that guests had pre-existing medical conditions, and they do not include findings about the cause of an incident or whether a ride contributed to it.
