After grossing over $1 billion in its worldwide theatrical release, the live-action Lilo & Stitch is getting a sequel with the addition of a beloved character. Lilo & Stitch 2 will officially release in theaters on May 26, 2028, with returning stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo and of course the adorable trouble-maker, Stitch.
Both Maia Kealoha and Stitch took to the stage at the D23 Entertainment Showcase to tease details for the new film. While a full trailer is still pending, it’s confirmed a “pink alien” will be part of the sequel. Angel was originally introduced in Lilo & Stitch: The Series and has become a popular character, especially in merch. Angel was not in the 2005 animated film Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch.
