We finally have a pretty good idea of when Grand Floridian Cafe will welcome guests back after its lengthy refurbishment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Grand Floridian Cafe has been closed since July 20, 2026, for a major refurbishment, and Disney previously said the restaurant would remain unavailable through October. Now, Disney’s own dining reservation system is giving us a much more specific date. Reservations are available beginning November 2, 2026, indicating that the restaurant is currently expected to reopen that day.
While Walt Disney World has not officially announced that the Grand Floridian Cafe is reopening on November 2, the fact that dining reservations are now available starting on that date implies that Disney plans to reopen the restaurant then. The official webpage still states it will remain closed for refurbishment through October 2026.
While Grand Floridian Cafe has been unavailable, Disney moved its brunch service over to Cítricos. The temporary brunch is offered from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., giving guests staying at the resort another option while the Cafe is closed.
The refurbishment is a significant one for a restaurant that has long been a favorite at the Grand Floridian, particularly for guests looking for a more relaxed meal away from the theme parks. Grand Floridian Cafe normally serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and sits just off the resort’s main lobby.
With reservations now appearing for November 2 and beyond, it looks like the wait is almost over. We’ll be watching Disney’s official information for confirmation of the reopening date and, of course, any first looks at what has changed inside Grand Floridian Cafe during its months-long refurbishment. I do hope they keep the fresh roses on each table!
