We already knew Stitch was planning to crash Christmas with runDisney this year, and now we finally know what we’ll be running for! runDisney has revealed all four finisher medals for the 2026 Virtual 12Ks of Christmas, and the designs might make it awfully hard for Stitch fans to resist signing up when registration opens next week.
As we shared last week, runDisney has turned this year’s holiday event into the Virtual 12Ks of Stitchmas, with three separate 4K races that participants can complete throughout December. Each race has its own holiday theme, and now we can see how those themes carry over to the medals.
The Cute & Fluffy Virtual 4K features Stitch and Angel in their Christmas PJs, complete with candy canes. The medal features that same adorable holiday look, with the two of them standing under oversized candy canes.
Next is the Mele Kalikimaka Virtual 4K, which gives Stitch a Hawaiian Christmas. Its snow globe-style medal shows Stitch dressed as a Christmas tree alongside Scrump, with hibiscus flowers incorporated into the design.
An ‘Ohana Wonderland Virtual 4K brings Stitch and Angel into a much chillier setting. Stitch is bundled up in his red scarf and playing in the snow, while Angel appears on the snowy medal beside him.
Complete all three 4Ks and you’ll also earn the Virtual 12Ks of Stitchmas Challenge medal. This one features Stitch wearing reindeer antlers and tangled up in Christmas lights, which is just right for Experiment 626. All three races add up to 12K, or roughly 7.5 miles, and because they’re virtual, you can complete them wherever you’d like between December 1 and December 31, 2026.
The full challenge costs $185 and includes all four medals, plus a themed shoe ornament, challenge trading pin, Stitch Santa hat, four vinyl stickers, gummy Christmas tree candy, Twinings Holiday Tea, and digital race materials.
And here’s the date you’ll want to remember: general registration opens Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 10 a.m. Eastern.
I thought these races were cute when runDisney first announced them, but these medals are even cuter!
