The medals for the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend have arrived, and Donald Duck is getting plenty of attention this year!
runDisney has revealed all six finisher medals for the upcoming event, which takes place January 6–10, 2027, at Walt Disney World. This year’s designs celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Half Marathon, which originally featured Donald Duck as its mascot.
Donald makes an appearance throughout the collection, joining several of his Disney pals on medals featuring spinning elements, hinged designs, and colorful details. Let’s take a closer look!
Walt Disney World 5K – Pluto
Pluto takes center stage on a blue and gray shield-shaped medal. The design includes a spinning Donald Duck medallion and a light blue ribbon featuring the 2027 event branding.
Walt Disney World 10K – Chip ‘n’ Dale
Chip and Dale star on this bright pink and magenta medal, complete with a decorative silver border. A spinning Donald Duck element adds another fun detail.
Walt Disney World Half Marathon – Donald & Daisy
This design forms a large 30, complete with Mickey ears, celebrating three decades of the half marathon. The medal opens like a locket to reveal Donald Duck on one side and Daisy Duck on the other. A blue and gold ribbon features the anniversary branding.
Walt Disney World Marathon – Mickey & Minnie
Mickey, Minnie, and Donald appear together on a red shield-shaped medal featuring bold orange 26.2 Miles lettering. A matching red ribbon completes the design.
Goofy’s Race & A Half Challenge – 39.3 Miles
Runners who complete both the half marathon and full marathon earn this expandable medal. Its teal and navy panels feature Goofy and Donald running together, along with the challenge’s 39.3-mile distance.
Dopey Challenge – 48.6 Miles
The purple and green Dopey Challenge medal features an octagonal locket design. Open it to find the 48.6-mile distance and Dopey juggling pretzels. The front features Dopey against a glittery purple background.
The 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend has already sold out, so these medals await runners who secured their registrations. Between the anniversary details and Donald Duck appearing throughout the collection, there’s plenty for longtime runDisney fans to appreciate!
