Arriving to a Magic Kingdom party night has notoriously been an extremely crowded experience on Main Street U.S.A. This is due to day guests leaving the parks at the same time that the party guests are arriving.
In order to avoid this logjam, Disney is testing a change to the operating hours on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights. The park’s attractions will close at 6 p.m. for day guests, and the party will begin at 7 p.m. Day guests will still be able to shop and dine until 7 p.m.

Currently, the hours for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party do not have an altered schedule.
