Disney Vacation Account website still not back online

After a “glitch” caused issues with guests’ Disney Vacation Accounts last week, the website is still down and customers are getting more upset. A technical upgrade to the website caused the error, resulting in some customers having too much money taken for their bank accounts. The issue began last Tuesday, June 16; the Disney Vacation Account website has come back online a few times, but not for very long periods of time.

Customers have been discussing the issue online on discussion sites like the DISboards. Poster CinderElsa says, “There’s simply no excuse for not contacting affected customers or, at bare minimum, getting a message up on that website to acknowledge that there has been a glitch and it’s currently being worked on.”

Many customers just want to remove their money and cancel the account. Posters on the DISboards thread have been watching the website and as soon as it goes back up, have gone in and requested refunds of their account’s balance. Kitkat4622 said, “Got in, cancelled my auto payments and requested a refund of the balance on my account. I will pay for my trip directly on mydisneyexperience.com. I don’t need this type of aggravation in my life. This is supposed to be fun, not aggravating….”

Disney spokesman Bryan Malenius said, “We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our guests and are happy to talk with anyone who has concerns. Refunds have been processed, and we’re working diligently to bring the website back online.”

So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
