Disneyland sued over Club 33 membership termination

Disneyland sued over Club 33 membership termination Club33-02

Joseph Cosgrove, a long-time member of Disneyland’s Club 33, has sued Disney over what he claims was an unfair termination of his membership.

According to the lawsuit, Cosgrove provided passes to a friend, who in turn donated them to a charity auction.  Club 33 rules prohibit members from auctioning off passes for charity.

According to Disneyland spokesperson Suzi Brown this was not Cosgrove’s first offense.

Brown added, “Over the years, the Cosgroves repeatedly transferred and sold their membership privileges, which was a clear violation of the membership rules.  Unfortunately, we were left with no other choice in order to preserve the integrity of membership.”

In the lawsuit which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Cosgrove asks for $100,000 for mental anguish, legal fees and punitive damages.

Cosgrove is a retired public relations and marketing expert and is the author of “Walt Dreamers Me.”
