Six new permits filed with the city of Anaheim late last week show the immense scope of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park and hint at the value of the project. All six are related to the same parcel, but are individual permits for different pieces of the project. Based on the permits, the total estimated value of the project is over $181.3 million.
Permit BLD2016-03519 is for the Millenium Falcon attraction and surrounding area. The two-story building is 165,565 square feet. The total value for that section of the project is $77,875,833.
Permit BLD2016-05640 is for the Star Destroyer attraction and surrounding area. The two-story building, plus offices, and cast member restroom and break room is 115,206 square feet. The total value for that section of the project is $55,746,094.
Permit BLD2017-00975 deals with dining and merchandise areas. The 1-story restaurant is 15,550 square feet and the merchandise area is 12,340 square feet. The permit also includes an outside dining area and a loading dock. The total value for that section of the project is $18,447,605.
Permit BLD2017-01420 includes more merchandise space and guest restrooms. The 1-story building is 25,416 square feet. The total value for that section of the project is $14,336,639.
Permit BLD2017-01826 includes more restaurant space and a cast member bridge. The 1-story building is 16,535 square feet. The total value for that section of the project is $12,491,652.
Finally, permit BLD2017-01974 appears to be backstage, with a 2,950 square foot dressing and break rooms and another 1,675 square foot space for equipment. The total value for that section of the project is $2,412,980.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is scheduled to open this summer in Disneyland Park and late fall at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
