Amazon and Microsoft have signed a deal with the Walt Disney Co. that will allow their customers to use the Disney Movies Anywhere service. The “cloud-based digital movie service” will allow users to have access to a database of Disney movies from a variety of devices, including an app for Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Amazon Fire tablets, Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. Beginning September 15, the app can be accessed on Roku and Android TV.
The Disney Movies Anywhere service is currently available from iTunes, Google Play and VUDU from Walmart.
