Disney Kicks Off Feel Good Friday Series With $20,000 Donation to Central Florida Band

Today the Disney Parks Blog began a new series of articles, Feel Good Friday, which will be sharing heartwarming and inspirational stories…with a Disney touch.

This morning, Mickey Mouse and Disney VoluntEARS from Walt Disney World surprised a group of Central Florida high school students.

The East Ridge High School community has been raising money to restore the school’s band program after a devastating fire and today Disney donated $20,000 to help them with those efforts.

The band students, band director, and even the principal were surprised by the announcement. Here’s how it all went down:
