Disney Chief Operating Officer Tom Staggs to step down

Tom Staggs, Chief Operating Officer of the Walt Disney Co., will be stepping down from his current position May 6, 2016. He will remain “special advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, Robert A. Iger,” through the end of this fiscal year.  The announcement comes as a surprise, given that Staggs is currently the frontrunner to Disney Chief Operating Officer Tom Staggs to step down

Benefits reduced for Disney Vacation Club resale buyers

Disney Vacation Club has announced some changes for people who buy their memberships on the resale market. Charges dropped against man charged with rape at Disney Springs

Charges have been dropped against Hector Herrera, who was accused of raping a woman at Disney Springs last July. The woman was found naked in the bushes behind House of Blues and accused Herrera of raping her. She and Herrera, 27, of Kissimmee, were seen on security footage leaving the restaurant together. Guests can use smartphones for Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure at Epcot

Guests at Epcot can now use their own smartphones to play the Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure game. Writer’s Stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to remain open

The Writer’s Stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will not be closing as previously reported. Beginning Sunday, April 3, it will be open from 11:30am to one hour before Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant closes, and will serve a selection of appetizers, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic refreshments. Coffee will still be available from the location, as well Writer’s Stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to remain open
