As the Disney Decades Collection marches through the history of The Walt Disney Company, I watch eagerly for some of my favorite characters and movies to appear. Being a child of the 80s, my first loves came about in the 90s with things like The Little Mermaid (yes, 1989, but there was a delay back then for things that came to Australia), Rescue Rangers, and so on. The 2000s were when I started falling in love with Disney all over again with my children. My daughter and I would dance around the house to the Princess and the Frog music on a daily basis, which is part of the flashback I had when I saw the new Louis Loungefly that looks to be a part of the 2000s collection.
I’m really excited to see what else will be included in this decade. Disney classics released during this time include Monsters Inc., Lilo & Stitch, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Tinker Bell, Up, and of course, Princess and the Frog.
How can they choose only five items to represent this era? We will have to wait and see. In the meantime, tell me what your top five 2000s Disney characters or movies you hope will be included in the new collection.
