Hey, fellow Muppet heads! A lineup of Muppet plush keychains is now available at Rock Around the Shop, the exit gift shop for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The collection includes five favorite characters: Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Sam Eagle, Rowlf, and Fozzie Bear. Each plush keychain is priced at $16.99 before tax and is eligible for both Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club merchandise discounts.
These plush keychains were previously available exclusively through DisneyStore.com, making their arrival in the parks a welcome surprise for those of us hoping to pick one up in person. Shopping in-store also offers the advantage to browse through the selection and choose the plush with the facial expression, stitching, and overall look that appeals to you most.
The adorable Muppets accessories doesn’t stop there — nuiMOs are making a comeback! Inside Rock Around the Shop, you can find the recently-restocked the Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy nuiMOs near the plush keychains. The poseable collectibles retail for $19.99 each and feature removable clothing, allowing fans to swap outfits and accessories.
However, the popularity of the characters is already showing… During my visit, Kermit had once again sold out, though Cast Members indicated another restock is expected.
The newer merchandise arrives as excitement continues to around the Muppets’ presence at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For longtime fans, it’s encouraging to see Disney continuing to invest in new Muppet products.
With Rowlf, Fozzie, and Sam Eagle joining the lineup, there’s hope that even more characters could make their way to store shelves in the future. The members of Electric Mayhem seem like natural additions for the coaster’s gift shop. How about characters such as Gonzo, Scooter, and Rizzo? And if we’re making wish lists, Bean Bunny deserves a spot too…
