Looking for a new bag? Maybe something that is both fun and functional for your next park visit? Check these out! Two new Vera Bradley designs are being released this summer that are sure to delight fans.
Since 2013, Vera Bradley has been partnering with Disney on a collection of bags in a variety of styles. You may remember the first patterns I told you about back then which quickly became popular. One of those designs, Midnight with Mickey, has now been re-imagined into the new Mickey’s Magical Blooms print set for release this month. Staying true to Vera Bradley’s signature quilted look, you’ll find the pattern in a Triple Zip Hipster, Campus Backpack, Large Duffel, Front Zip Wallet, and more.
I like this print’s bold colors and whimsical features including large blossoms as well as Mickey and Minnie themselves. Purple, turquoise, rose, and orange serve as the highlight to the black base. Because of the wide range of colors, this pattern is perfect for summer as well as fall. I imagine a lot of college students will be sporting the backpack version next semester. Rumor has it that a smaller version and even a blanket are to be released at some point before the end of the year.
Even more exciting than Mickey’s Magical Blooms print is the new Lighten Up collection which will be released in August. The bags in this line will be, wait for it, water-resistant! Finally! I’ve been hesitant to purchase a Vera Bradley backpack because of the infamous afternoon thunderstorms that frequent Florida. Because they are made of a durable, yet lightweight polyester, the new styles are perfect accessories for trips to Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
The Lighten Up Collection will include five of Vera Bradley’s best-selling styles including the Lunch Cooler which would be a great way to keep drinks and snacks cool in the parks. It also features a food-safe lining which is easy to clean. Other styles to be on the lookout for include the Grande Backpack complete with a roomy interior, two zip pockets, and two side pockets, the Travel Organizer, and a versatile Expandable Travel Bag. The latter is perfect for a trip to the beach or to store those last-minute souvenirs from your vacation; it unzips to reveal extra space! There is also a hanging zip pocket on the inside. Expandable bags are becoming very popular with other companies, so it is no surprise see Vera Bradley and Disney release one too.
Ultimately, I think both designs are great additions to the Disney Vera Bradley collection and am excited for them to hit the shelves. Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below! Happy shopping!
