Hashtag “RenewDocMcStuffins” has been created in hopes of saving the show. Chris Nee, the show’s creator and executive producer, tweeted a response to the hashtag, saying, “I have spent the morning in tears watching the love being spread for an idea I had in the shower.” Nee says she was looking for a way to help calm her son’s fears of going to the doctor when the idea came to her.

Disney Junior has responded to the hashtag with a tweet of their own: “Wow- thanks for all the love and cuddles! As long as there are toys to fix, the Doc will be in!” Comments on the tweet seem to think this statement was too ambiguous and they want Disney Junior to be clear and just answer the question – Will Doc McStuffins be renewed for a fifth season or not?
