Disney Junior responds to rumor of Doc McStuffins being cancelled

As we reported yesterday, there are rumors going around the internet that the popular Disney Junior show, Doc McStuffins, may not be renewed for a fifth season. Doc is a young African-American girl who can bring toys to life and then takes care of their ailments in her clinic. لعب قمار اون لاين The show has resonated with many African-American fans who are excited to see such a positive role model for their children on TV.

Hashtag “RenewDocMcStuffins” has been created in hopes of saving the show. Chris Nee, the show’s creator and executive producer, tweeted a response to the hashtag, saying, “I have spent the morning in tears watching the love being spread for an idea I had in the shower.” Nee says she was looking for a way to help calm her son’s fears of going to the doctor when the idea came to her.

She added, “I am always looking for ways to shine a light on people who don’t get to see themselves represented on TV. betfinal بالعربي I think it’s one of the most powerful things we have in working in especially preschool television. Unfortunately – like everyone else – we really lag in our representation of people who are in the mainstream.”

Disney Junior has responded to the hashtag with a tweet of their own: “Wow- thanks for all the love and cuddles! As long as there are toys to fix, the Doc will be in!” Comments on the tweet seem to think this statement was too ambiguous and they want Disney Junior to be clear and just answer the question – Will Doc McStuffins be renewed for a fifth season or not?
