Some of the very best Disney merch I’ve ever seen (online) is at the international Disney theme parks. I don’t know if it’s just that the pieces are so different from what we see here in the U.S. Disney parks, or if it’s that the merch is just better. I’ll let you be the judge of these new popcorn buckets that are coming to Tokyo Disney Resort next month, but be honest and tell me how you really feel.
Here’s the thing: We’ve been getting some pretty cool popcorn buckets here, like the Pizza Planet and Coco Guitar ones for Pixar Fest at Disneyland, but I really lose it when I see them themed after some of my favorite Disney attractions. Enter the Peter Pan popcorn bucket – it lights up! I’m actually losing my mind over it, and I simply must have it. I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to accomplish getting it into my hot little hands, but it must happen. Peter Pan is my very favorite Disney film from my childhood days and Peter Pan’s Flight is my all-time favorite Disney attraction. Take a closer look at it! Last year when Tokyo revealed an “it’s a small world” popcorn bucket, I was crazy for it, but not quite as much as crazy as I am for this one.
According to @tdrexplorer on Twitter, this light-up Frozen popcorn bucket was re-released on April 1st.
Lastly, we’ve got a Tangled popcorn bucket that is said to be released at a later time. I love that it’s a lantern from my favorite scene in the movie! Also, how cute is Pascal?
I must disclose that I only own one Disney popcorn bucket. It’s a Nightmare Before Christmas one that has Zero with his doghouse – his little pumpkin nose lights up, too! We use it as a Halloween decoration and I just love it. We bought it when we were onboard the Disney Fantasy and I hadn’t seen it elsewhere! I’ve never used it as a popcorn bucket since the day I bought it, but I feel like these are more of a décor piece than a food storage box.
Now I have some questions for you. How many Disney popcorn buckets do you own, and what do you use them for at home? Which one is your favorite?
