Welcome to Part 2 of my review of my family’s experience on the first Star Wars Day at Sea on the Disney Fantasy. To catch up, read Part 1 here!
There really wasn’t anything Star Wars-related for us to do in the afternoon. There were a couple of Jedi Training shows and another Guest Speaker Series, but we had already done all of these events.
My kids chose to spend time up on the pool deck, something that we really hadn’t been expecting to have time to do on Star Wars Day. موقع ٣٦٥ Star Wars Rebels was playing on the FunnelVision and every once in awhile, the screen would flash and an Imperial officer would appear, warning that there was Rebel activity onboard. At one point, Boba Fett climbed out of the side of the funnel and stood looking around for anyone that may be causing trouble. This was neat, but also a little awkward. He was up there for at least 10 minutes, but there weren’t really that many people at the pool then, so we all just kind of stared at him and he stared back at us.
There were two Guest Costume Celebrations in the atrium in the afternoon. العاب للربح الحقيقي While we didn’t attend, I’m sure these were neat to see. We saw guests all over the ship with some really impressive costumes.

One teenage boy dressed as Kylo Ren drew an even longer line than the official meet and greets. His mom said he had worked really hard on his costume and made it all himself. She couldn’t believe the line of people waiting to see him!
Unlike the rest of the cruise, our kids weren’t really in the kids club on Star Wars Day, but there were some Star Wars activities taking place there. Some of the things listed in the Navigator included Padawan Crafts and Galaxy Designers, each taking place several times throughout the day. One of our sons was there for one session of Padawan Crafts and they made Yoda magnets out of green foam sheets.
As expected, cruisers could watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was shown three times that day. The other films in the saga had been shown on previous days.
Now, onto dinner. At Pirate Night two days earlier, we were surprised that our servers at dinner weren’t in their normal pirate costumes. They said it was because of Star Wars Day coming, so we expected to see them in costume when we came into the restaurant that night. Instead, they were wearing the normal costumes of Royal Court (the restaurant we were assigned to that night), but with the Star Wars nametags instead of the normal version. اون لاين بلاك جاك Dinner was scheduled 15 minutes earlier than normal, so that everyone would be out in time for the evening’s activities. Despite this, everything was running behind since this was the first time the kitchen had served this menu. Our poor server was literally running to get everyone’s food delivered quickly.
There was a special menu for dinner that night, which, despite the delay, we all agreed was actually the best dinner we had that week. The kids’ menus were masks of Chewbacca or a Stormtrooper. My kids got the Stormtrooper Cheese Pizza, which was just the same pizza they’d had all week, but with a fancy name.
I had the Mos Espa Grand Arena Tailgate Sandwiches (basically tiny ham sandwiches), The Gungan City Dumpling Soup (tomato-basil soup with mini-meatballs) and Qui-Gon’s Crisp Chicken (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit, with a dish of gravy to pour on top). The entrée was so good. Perfectly cooked and the gravy made everything even better.
For dessert, most of our table got the Han Solo’s Frozen Carbonite Sundae (vanilla and dulce de leche ice cream with caramel popcorn and whipped cream). It was really tasty.
Our server also brought us Princess Leia’s Warm Apricot Pudding. Adorable!
The third and final installment of my review will focus on the evening’s entertainment. If you missed it, here’s Part one. Click here for Part three!
Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
