Michelin-Starred Chef Opens NEW Restaurant at Disneyland Paris
Imagine, if you will, an elegant French restaurant just outside of Paris, with all the delicious storybook flavors we crave, set in the royal beauty of a fine dining experience. That is what La Forêt Secrète par Jean Imbert has created for guests of the Disneyland Paris resort. The Michelin-starred chef has opened a new restaurant where guests can enjoy this family-friendly fine dining opportunity, complete with a beautifully curated kids’ menu.
Taking inspiration from the many iconic Disney movies, no detail was left forgotten. The culinary journey begins with an Under the Sea seafood starter inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studio’s The Little Mermaid or Mrs. Pott’s brew, which transports guests to Beast’s Castle in Disney Animation’s Beauty and the Beast with root vegetable ravioli and a vegetable and truffle broth.
The story continues with Prince Ali’s tagine, taking inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Aladdin and features a poularde ballotin stuffed with dates and dried fruits served with vegetables. For fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, the Caribbean casserole presents a combination of Mediterranean bluefin tuna, a tangy passion fruit vinaigrette with a Colombo spice and tamarind sauce. Located right outside the city of Paris, there’s of course a Remy’s Ratatouille inspired by the Pixar Animation Studios film Ratatouille.
The children’s menu is complete with familiar flavors, while also offering younger guests an opportunity to try something new. From the delectable Fairy Godmother’s Soup with red kuri squash gnocchi and chestnut to The Lantern Festival fish and chips with tartar sauce inspired by Disney Animation’s Tangled, the dishes are both fun and sophisticated.
I have a very special connection with Disneyland Paris because all the magic of the films that I dream about comes to life here. This restaurant is strongly influenced by my childhood memories, particularly when I would come to the park, as well as my favorite films. I am thrilled to contribute to showcasing French gastronomy in Europe’s number one tourist destination.
