Pym Tasting Lab is the go-to spot in Avengers Campus to get fun cocktails served in Pym Lab beakers and craft beer on draft that somehow fills from the bottom of the cup instead of your typical beer tap. You can both Mobile Order or wait in line to order at Pym Tasting Lab.
Pym Tasting Lab also shares a patio with the Pym Test Kitchen, which is a quick-service restaurant offering cosmically sized breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Seating can be hard to come by, so we recommend looking for a seat while another person in your group orders.
The best part about the Pym patio is that it often comes with a show. In fact, during our trip, we were able to see Black Widow, Captain America, Black Panther, and the Wakanda Warriors all from our seats. Hearing the Avengers score and catching a glimpse of an Avenger just adds to the overall theming and excitement. Plus, you can enjoy some great food and drinks while doing so!
The menu at Pym’s changes seasonally or with the release of a new Marvel movie. We’re happy that our tried and true favorites, like the R&D Martini, are also always on the menu. With the February release date of Captain America: Brave New World, both the Pym Tasting Lab and Test Kitchen have introduced a few new menu items. So, of course, Ryno and I had to try them out!
Mini Pretzels – served with spicy nacho cheese sauce – $7
The Pym Tasting Lab doesn’t always have a food item on the menu and Avengers Campus is known for its “Quantum Pretzels”… so we were excited to see the mini pretzels on the new menu! The order comes with two average-sized soft pretzels (smaller than a Mickey pretzel but not “mini”) and a small container of nacho cheese. I feel like the description should have spicy in all caps and bold because it’s flaming hot and not in a good way. The spice overpowered any of the cheese flavor, and since the pretzels weren’t salted, it was the only source of flavor. Pass on the mini pretzels and stick with the Quantum Pretzel at the Pym Test Kitchen.
Molecular Mule – Seaborn Cucumber Ginger Mule served over ice (ABV 10.0%) – $19.50
Even though we weren’t previously familiar with it, Seaborn is a brand of craft, pre-made cocktails. So, even though it isn’t made by hand, it tasted like it was. Both the cucumber and ginger definitely came through and the mule had just enough fizz. We also enjoyed the added garnish of chopped cucumber. If you’re a fan of mules and not overly sweet cocktails, this is a good choice!
Liberty Punch – Litmus Lemonade (Svedka Vodka, lemonade and wild strawberry syrup) layered with Blue Hawaiian (Triple Sec, pineapple and toasted Coconut with pineapple juice with edible glitter) and topped with citrus meringue foam – $18.50
This was the most fun and on-theme for Captain America (my favorite and the best Avenger). What I didn’t initially realize is that you can order both the Litmus Lemonade and the Blue Hawaiian separately if you don’t want the layered cocktail combination. This tasted like a fruity, vacation drink and the flavors worked together better than I thought they would. I mostly tasted the coconut and pineapple with just a little bit of citrus. This is a good Pym’s drink for someone looking for a fun cocktail that is less alcohol-forward.
While I don’t think we’ll be running back to the Pym Tasting Lab for any of these new additions, we will continue running back to Pym’s for their other knock-out menu items.
