HalloweenTime at Disneyland 2015

HalloweenTime has begun at Disneyland, with a few small changes…and one big one.  Here are some highlights from the Park.

The Diamond Celebration to celebrate Disneyland’s 60th birthday is still in full swing, but that hasn’t stopped the resort from celebrating HalloweenTime!

Other than the diamond D replacing the HalloweenTime logo on the gas lamps, there aren’t any significant changes on Main Street USA.

That’s the good news….the bad news happens in Frontierland.

The Halloween Tree and Dia De Los Muertos decorations are up in Frontierland proper….

…but over on the Big Thunder Trail, there is something big missing…the Halloween Carnival at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree will not take place this year…or ever again, as the area is to become the heart of a new Star Wars-themed land.  The petting zoo and barbecue are themed nicely, but the pumpkin carvers and costumed characters will be missed.

Over in Tomorrowland, Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy has opened and in New Orleans Square, Halloween and Christmas have collided once again at Haunted Mansion Holiday!

This year’s custom-made gingerbread house resembles a gingerbread house of cards…teetering before it falls.

Halloween06

The good news for those guests that have yet to see the elusive Hat Box Ghost is that Jack Skellington has let the mysterious figure stick around through the holiday.

Even with the changes this year, there is still plenty of fun to be had during HalloweenTime at Disneyland.  HalloweenTime continues through November 1st!
