In just two days, guests visiting Disney California Adventure Park can enjoy an all-new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! in celebration of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary, which officially begins on May 16th and lasts all the way until summer 2026! Starting May 16th, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will be performed multiple times daily in Hollywood Land inside the Disney Theatre. The show features Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Daisy, along with five new original songs, each featuring a different style of music.
The new storyline features Mickey and Minnie at the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse getting ready for a party for all of their friends! Just when the party is ready to get started, Mickey and Minnie notice none of their friends have shown up. So the audience is invited to help Mickey and Minnie go find their friends in order to get the party started.
The first friend to visit is Goofy, and we find him at his house in a bit of a predicament. Goofy’s plumbing has stopped working, and despite his robe, rubber ducky slippers, and shower cap, he can’t take a shower or get ready for the party. Thankfully, the host of the show is both a tour guide and a plumber. So with the help of his friends, singing and dancing, and lots of bubbles, Goofy’s shower gets fixed and he’s off to the Clubhouse!
Guests might notice a few Easter eggs on screen, like the Lake Destiny Bait and Tackle sign featured in Goofy’s bathroom.
Next, Mickey and Minnie head to Daisy’s house to see why she’s not at the party. And just like Daisy, there’s lots of drama. The power has gone out at Daisy’s house and she can’t find anything to wear. Guests who participate in looking for Daisy in her dark house are encouraged to shout out when they see her. Luckily, the host of the show is also a tour guide, plumber, AND electrician and is able to get Daisy’s power turned back on.
It wouldn’t be a party without Mickey’s loyal pup, Pluto. Much to Mickey’s surprise, there has been a very rare Southern Californian snowstorm at Pluto’s dog house and he needs help getting the snow to melt in order to get to the Clubhouse. But before the snow melts, guests get to enjoy falling snow (and lots of it) inside the theater. Friends are invited to dance to warm up the room and melt the snow.
Now that the gang is all back together, it’s time to celebrate and get the party started back at the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! There is lots of dancing, confetti, and even a Mickey-shaped disco ball!
And no Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party would be complete without a grand finale of the Hot Dog Dance! Guests of all ages are invited to stand up and do the Hot Dog Dance.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live really is such a fun treat for the entire family and you’ll find even the kids at heart laughing and having a great time. The storyline may be a little crazy, but the songs are great and it’s interactive in an immersive way! If you’re wondering where Donald Duck is, we were thinking the same thing! Donald does make an appearance, wandering from screen to screen at the very end of the show. Maybe he didn’t get the invite or was just running very late – either way, we did miss seeing him have his own dance number!
