I will start this off with a little information and backstory for those who may not be familiar with our show. In 2006, the DIS launched its official podcast – called the DIS Unplugged. If you’re not familiar with what a podcast is – it’s basically a radio show on the web. Our show, predictably, is focused on Disney (we have a Disney World edition and a Disneyland edition). In February of 2013 we expanded our show to include video . The Disney World show airs live every Tuesday at 1pm Eastern time (you can watch our shows live at DISunplugged.com or via our LiveStream channel. Our Disneyland edition (audio only) is released every Thursday (link to subscribe/listen). The purpose of our show is very simple – to give you honest and unbiased information for planning your Disney vacation. We love Disney, but we’re not blinded by pixie-dust. You’re spending a lot of money to visit Disney and it helps to have honest advice and critique to help you when planning your trip – that’s what our shows are all about.
2014 was a great year for the DIS Unplugged podcast – we celebrated our 8th anniversary, we produced more than 100 episodes of the show, as well as more than 200 supporting videos – but there were certain shows that really seemed to strike a chord with our audience.
