After just its second weekend in theaters, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame has crossed the $2 billion mark in global ticket sales, easily breaking the previous record. Avatar, which once held the record, took 47 days to reach $2 billion in ticket sales.
Overall, Endgame is still behind Avatar‘s $2.78 billion grand total, but is now ahead of Titanic ($2.18 billion), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06 billion), and Avengers: Infinity War ($2.04 billion).
So far, Endgame is only the 9th highest in North American ticket sales with $620 million, but has sold a huge $1.56 billion overseas, including $575 million in China.
