Each of Disney’s water parks is refurbished annually and typically between January and March. The schedule is staggered so guests are typically able to enjoy at least one water park experience year-round.
This year, additional refurbishment work and enhancements to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will result in a longer annual downtime than in previous years.
Blizzard Beach will close for refurbishment beginning on September 8, 2019 and reopen in early 2020.
