With summer crowds lighter than expected, the Disneyland Resort may have started implementing cost-cutting measures, with the Red Car Trolley News Boys show at Disney California Adventure among the first victims.
Several sources, including some Cast Members, are reporting that the final show will be July 23rd. The Disneyland Resort website has not been updated, however, and still has shows scheduled through August 22nd…the furthest day for which park hours are available.
The Red Car Trolley itself has been under refurbishment due to construction on the upcoming super hero themed land, so the News Boys have been performing an adapted show in Carthay Circle. Guests have not responded well to the change, so the show is being closed.
Tom is the former host/producer of the Disneyland Edition podcast and is currently the co-host of the Connecting With Walt podcast, plus is also providing Disneyland content from the parks. He enjoys traveling with friends and spending time with family, including his son and grandson.
