If you’re already thinking ahead to warmer days at Walt Disney World, there’s good news for water park fans. Starting May 12, 2026, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open at the same time, giving guests two ways to cool off all summer long.
Blizzard Beach kicks things off first, reopening on February 15. That means guests visiting during late winter and spring can start enjoying slides, wave pools, and family-friendly water attractions right away. Then, on May 12, Typhoon Lagoon returns, allowing both water parks to operate together throughout the summer season.
Don’t forget, Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests checking in between May 26th and September 8th can visit Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon on arrival day at no extra cost. Resort guests receive admission to one Disney water park on their check-in day. You can head to the park even before your room is ready, making it an easy win for early arrivals.
For guests planning multiple visits, Disney is also offering a Water Park Seasonal Pass. The pass allows repeat access to Blizzard Beach from reopening through May 9, 2026. Adult passes are priced at $89, with tickets for children ages 3 to 9 available for $83. Guests should note that blockout dates apply from March 28 through April 5, 2026.

Seasonal passholders can also take advantage of a few added perks. One of the highlights is a 20% discount on Polar Patios cabanas at Blizzard Beach. This offer is available as a walk-up deal only and is applied when you arrive at the park. The pass also includes one round of mini golf at either Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, as long as you play before 4 p.m.

Blizzard Beach continues to offer something for every age group. Younger guests can splash and play at Tike’s Peak, a Frozen-themed area where Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the Snowgies set the scene for pint-sized fun. Thrill-seekers can race down the park’s long toboggan-style slides, while families can relax together between attractions.

New food options are also joining the lineup this spring, including Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strips, available this spring at Lottawatta Lodge.

With Blizzard Beach open now and Typhoon Lagoon returning on May 12, summer 2026 is shaping up to be a great season for water park fun at Walt Disney World.
