Star Wars Celebration is a four day fan event that has been held all over the U.S., as well as Europe, and Japan. April 13th-16th, Orlando will host the event for the third time, a perfect place for the Disney-owned franchise to interact with the public. Event organizers have released a detailed schedule of what is in store, including which Star Wars veterans will be making an appearance; Luke Skywalker is on that list. Mark Hamill will be present for all four days of the Celebration, held at the Orange County Convention Center, as will be plenty of other franchise-favorites.
Hamill will be signing autographs throughout the event, but he also has his own panel, “Hamill Himself,” on Sunday, as well as a tribute to the late Carrie Fisher on Friday night.
The large roster of Star Wars alumni attending will include cast members from all corners of the “galaxy far far away”, including the original trilogy, the prequels, Rebels, and Rogue One.
From the original trilogy, the event will host Billy Dee Williams, who portrayed Lando Calrissian. It will also include actors who portrayed the following roles: C-3PO, Wicket, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Maul, Chewbacca, Greedo, Biggs Darklighter, Wedge Antilles, and more.
The actors who portrayed Jango Fett and young Boba Fett in the prequels will be present at Celebration. Star Wars Rebels will be represented with voice-actors Freddie Prinze Jr. (Kanan), Taylor Gray (Ezra), Vanessa Marshall (Hera), as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar (Prinze’s wife who had a small role in season 2).
Rogue One fans will be pleased to know that Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso), Riz Ahmed (Bodhi Rook), and Alan Tudyk (K-2SO) will be making an appearance.
The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson will be there as well.
Fans can look forward to four days of panels, autograph signing, memorabilia, costume contests, demonstrations, and discussions. For a detailed look at the schedule, go to www.starwarscelebration.com
