Television and radio personality, Ryan Seacrest, recently had the chance to talk to Disneyland Culinary Director, John State, about the recently announced new plant-based menu options now available at Walt Disney World and coming to Disneyland in Spring 2020.
In the interview, Chef John mentions that the Culinary Team monitors industry trends and guest needs to help craft the new plant-based offerings. When asked, he affirms that plant-based menu items for children will be added in the days ahead.
Chef John reminds guests to be on the lookout for the green leaf icon on Walt Disney World restaurant menus as the icon indicates that that item is plant-based. I, along DIS teammates Steve Porter and Corey Fiasconaro, recently had the chance to try two of the new plant-based menu items currently available at Epcot‘s Coral Reef Restaurant. Click here to read my review of that meal and our thoughts regarding the two plant-based dishes.

Deni loves all things Disney, and, in 2013, moved to the Magic from Maryland. Walt Disney World is her happy place, and she loves getting to share it with others. Deni and her husband of almost 26 years have 2 grown children. Her favorite WDW snack? A Mickey Bar, of course. Is there any other?!
