Construction permits surface for Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Photos have surfaced of a permit application for some of the construction work planned at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The documents were filed with the South Florida Water Management District and show that work should start in January 2016 and be completed by October 2018.

The permit shows plans for new water infrastructure to be built in and around the theme park, to get the area ready for “the parking expansion and rehabilitative construction” that is planned. It also mentions a new entrance ramp coming from Osceola Parkway and a “construction access road from World Drive to the theme park.”

It was announced at the D23 Expo that Hollywood Studios would be getting a new Star Wars land and Toy Story land, but not many more details about these expansions have been made known.
