Disneyland has been undergoing Project Stardust – a plan for park beautification, as the park preps for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, which will open this summer. These improvements have been going on for some time including the addition of the Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland, reconfigured queues for several attractions, the replacement of the streetcar tracks on Main Street U.S.A., and much more.
One of the big changes that will be part of Project Stardust is the modifications coming to the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. Disney stressed the importance of “refreshing their assets” including Sleeping Beauty Castle as part of their park beautification plan. That is why this year according to Disney Imagineer Kim Irvine the castle will add some subtle changes that will “add a little pixie dust to it.” While Kim Irvine’s language was very broad when talking about the changes it seems, judging by the video, that the improvements will be made to the castle’s rooftops.
The video of Disney Imagineer Kim Irvine describing the changes can be seen below:
Stephen "Steve" Porter started going to the parks with his family in 1996. Since then he hasn't looked back! Steve was a cast member participating in the Disney College Program in 2013. Most recently he graduated from Penn State University!
